Chapter 94 Aether Particles
Chapter 94 Aether Particles
The Holy Lord looked at the leading dark elf and smirked: "What you need? There's nothing here that belongs to you."
The dark elf leader fixed his gaze on the Holy Lord, a hint of doubt flashing in his red eyes. He couldn't see through this man, yet this man gave him an unprecedented sense of oppression, a feeling that even Lord Malekith had never given him.
"Who are you?" the leader asked. "I've never heard of anyone like you in Asgard."
The Holy Lord did not answer. He raised his hand and a crimson fireball formed in his palm. The fireball grew larger and larger, completely dispelling the shadow of the dark elves.
"I'm here to tell you, you're not going anywhere today."
The fireball, carrying destructive power, flew from the Holy Lord's hand and hurtled towards the Dark Elf.
The leader shouted and raised his energy weapon, forming a black energy shield in front of him. The fireball crashed into the shield with a loud bang.
The shield shattered, and the leader staggered back two steps, a hint of shock in his eyes. His energy shield had been personally crafted by Lord Malekith, yet he had almost failed to block that attack.
"Who exactly are you!" the leader asked, trembling. He had not sensed any killing intent from the Holy Lord, as if the other party only regarded them as toys for amusement.
The Holy Lord did not answer, but slightly raised his hand, and the power of the Mind Stone spread in the air. The leader felt as if his consciousness was being invaded by something, and a will that did not belong to him was forcibly controlling his brain.
"Kneel down," the Holy Lord said calmly.
The leader's body went to his knees uncontrollably, and the dark elves behind him followed suit.
The guards standing behind the Holy Lord stared in disbelief at the scene, nearly dropping their spears.
Loki's pupils shrank. He knew that the Holy Lord was very strong, but he never thought that the other party could subdue the dark elves with just a few words. This visual impact far exceeded his expectations.
Wanda stood behind the Holy Lord with a slight smile on her lips. This was her master—powerful, composed, and invincible.
"Kill them," the Holy Lord said calmly to the guards.
The guards were stunned for a moment, then reacted and raised their spears to stab the dark elf kneeling on the ground.
A few minutes later, the last dark elf collapsed to the ground, powerless.
The Holy Lord stood in the middle of the pool of blood, calmly watching everything without any expression on his face.
"Master," Wanda whispered as she approached Shendu, "more dark elves are getting closer."
"Loki," the Holy Lord called out.
Loki emerged from the shadows, drops of black blood from his dagger falling to the ground.
"Proceed according to plan," the Holy Lord said calmly.
Loki glanced at him, nodded, and turned to walk to the other side of the corridor.
The guard captain approached. He had just witnessed the power displayed by the Holy Lord and said respectfully, "Holy Lord, the Dark Elves' attack is more ferocious than we expected. We need reinforcements."
The Holy Lord looked at the captain of the guard and said, "There will be no support. Everyone is on the front lines and no one will come to our aid."
The guard captain's expression changed: "Then we..."
The Holy Lord interrupted him: "Guard this place, I will protect this treasure trove."
Wanda walked to Shendu's side and said, "Master, Loki..."
The Holy Lord's gaze pierced through the corridor and landed in the darkness in the distance: "Don't worry, he won't betray us yet."
On the main battlefield, the battle has entered a fierce stage.
Thor moved across the battlefield like lightning, each swing of Mjolnir claiming the lives of countless dark elves. The bull rune continuously enhanced his power, and he felt stronger than ever before.
"Malekith!" Thor roared on the battlefield, "Come out! Fight me!"
On the dark elf's airship, a figure stood by the window, looking down at the battlefield.
"Asgard." Malekith's cold, deep voice echoed within the spaceship: "You think you've won? You think you can imprison us forever?"
Malekith turned to the dark elf general behind him: "How's the situation at the treasury?"
The general lowered his head: "Argos has lost contact."
Malekith frowned. "Lost contact?"
The general noticed a significant change in Malekith's mood and cautiously said, "Yes, sir, his troops have not been heard from since they entered the depths of the Golden Palace."
Malekith was silent for a moment, then a cold glint flashed in his eyes: "What did Odin set up in the vault?"
The general replied, "According to intelligence, in addition to the regular Asgardian guards, there are two reinforcements there, one of whom has abilities we have never seen before."
"Foreign aid?" Malekith scoffed. "Has Asgard fallen so low that a race of gods needs to request foreign aid to enter?"
Malekith looked down at the battlefield and said without hesitation, "Continue the attack. I want to see what Odin has hidden in the vault."
Before the treasure vault, the Holy Lord's lips suddenly curled up; the expected change had finally occurred.
Someone brought Jane Foster to Asgard, where the Aether particles are being activated.
"Wanda," Shendu said, looking towards the end of the corridor, his voice echoing in Wanda's mind, "I need you to do something."
Wanda stood there respectfully and said, "Please give your orders, Master."
The Holy Lord continued, "Go find Jane Foss. The Aether is inside her, and Malekith wants it. Bring her to the Vault before the Dark Elves take her away."
"Yes, Master," Wanda replied respectfully, completely unconcerned that these dark elves posed any threat to the Holy Lord.
Chaos magic coalesced beneath Wanda's feet, and her figure vanished as a crimson shadow.
After watching Wanda's figure completely disappear, the Holy Lord turned to face the door of the treasure vault.
The captain of the guard approached: "My Lord, that witch... she..."
The Holy Lord said calmly, "She has other tasks. Malekith has other goals besides the treasury."
The guard captain's face grew even uglier; he had no idea what the other thing the Holy Lord was talking about was.
The Holy Lord ignored him, closed his eyes, and spread the power of the Mind Stone throughout the entire Golden Palace. He could sense the location of every living being: the warriors of Asgard, the invading dark elves, and the servants who were in fear.
One of the life forms was special; it wasn't pure life energy, but rather mixed with other substances. Several dark elves were also approaching from beside her.
The Holy Lord opened his eyes, a smile playing on his lips: "It seems Thor really did bring Jane to the Golden Palace."
Jane Ford lay on the medical bed, her face ashen. She didn't know what had happened. She only remembered that a few hours ago, Thor suddenly appeared in her laboratory and told her that Asgard needed her. Then she was here, surrounded by a group of people in golden armor, and explosions were still coming from outside.
"What on earth happened?!" Jane grabbed a doctor's sleeve and asked, "Where is Saul?!"
