Chapter 438 Draco's Problem

Chapter 438 Draco's Problem

Harry is really not doing his job properly.

Spring break ended, and Della returned to Hogwarts. A few days later, she noticed Harry staring intently at Draco.

Della sighed at Harry's lack of focus, but also felt she could understand it.

After all, Dumbledore is the Riddler, and Harry has a personality that doesn't pretend to be confused or ignore things. It's normal for them to focus their attention on more obvious things when they're not making progress in one area.

And she'd better not correct him. Although saying something like "Dumbledore knows everything" would be effective, Dumbledore himself didn't say that, so his intention was clear—Dumbledore wanted Harry to grow up on his own.

Harry really needs to be more mature and calm.

So Della could only pretend not to know, and she and Theodore became little helpers in helping Draco hide his whereabouts.

During one of his routine cover-ups, Draco took a bold step, grabbing Della's hand and pulling her into the Room of Requirement, under Theodore's wide-eyed gaze.

The door closed, and Della saw piles of old objects forming a uniquely beautiful 'mountain', as well as Draco's body trembling slightly with excitement.

"Is there anything you want to tell me, Draco?" Della sighed, having no other choice but to ask him.

“I still don’t understand why you broke up with me in the first place,” Draco took a step closer to Della, his tone sharper, “but that doesn’t matter anymore. I just want to know—”

The more he spoke, the weaker his voice became, turning into a pleading tone, "Is there still a chance for us?"

“Draco, anyone who asks me during this time won’t get an answer from me,” Della said formally. “I’m not the kind of person who would be willing to fall in love during wartime.”

“Don’t be so cold, don’t talk to me with such a chilling attitude,” Draco moved closer to Della, his eyes gradually reddening. “Give me an answer with your true heart, okay?”

Della stared at him for a moment, then sighed. "I don't want to be fooled by my vague words, Draco. You're not mature enough for me right now."

What Draco possessed was a pure heart.

Della, on the other hand, has witnessed a more mature and empathetic purity.

In this situation, even if Draco's purity is wrapped in the sweetness of a beautiful past, Della can always see the sweetness that may flow from other purity.

"No, no! This shouldn't be!" Draco took a large step back, then walked closer to Della. "When I complete my master's task... when I gain more glory... will you come back?"

“No, Draco, it has nothing to do with any of that,” Della shook her head, shattering his illusions once again. “If you’re still fixated on those external things, then we’re not at the point where we need to discuss this issue.”

Draco stopped in his tracks, his brow furrowed, a mixture of confusion and despair in his eyes. "I've lost you... I've completely lost you..."

"Don't be like that, Draco. The fact that you once had something means you weren't entirely without merit." Della, being soft-hearted towards her ex-boyfriend, offered a few words of comfort.

"It's just that I'm growing, and you're a little slower, but until you grow to that stage, no one else will catch me. Don't be so down, okay?"

"You promise? No one will catch you?" Draco's eyes lit up, as if he had grasped at a lifeline. "You promise, Della?"

"I promise that I will not be caught by anyone until everything is settled."

Della nodded, and Draco's emotions gradually calmed down with her gentle smile.
