Several azure looking skyscrapers stretched upwards, their towering peaks peering through the azure clouds.

Citizens from different races moved through the streets. Chatter was all over the place. Lights and billboards flashed everywhere.

Occasionally, several airships would glide along designated travel routes, heading towards various destinations.

In the travel routes, several individuals were seated in a large airship.

These individuals were naturally the top ten of the Heavenly Fate rankings of the Venzula Empire Academy, their professors and vice principal.

A few in the top ten on the Heavenly Fate rankings had visited the Meridian Oceanic Empire on some academy missions in the past. However, none of them had been in the capital before.

"The Meridian Oceanic Empire is just like its name implies. The empire has 20 percent land and 80 percent oceans. The empire has 50 continents. Each continent is an island," Vice Principal Morgana explained. "The empire is literally an archipelago because of the large mass of water that occupies it. The Oceanica continent is the largest continent in the empire. Oceanica city is the largest city in the Oceanica Continent. This is where the top organisations in the empire, and the royal family is located."

Kailen and company nodded as they observed the thriving ecosystem of the capital.

They also understood why when they were several light years away from the Meridian Oceanic planet, the planet looked like a large azure ball with small brown indentations spread through it. It was because of its large mass of water and small mass of land.

"The name Meridian is also added to the empire because of the name of the emperor, Emperor Meridian, a merman. The place where you all will be having the competition, the Meridian Belt, is also named after him. Emperor Meridian is a water principle user, at the rank 7 novice stage Transcendent level. However the waters of this empire run deep. There are rumors of a rank 2 intermediate stage transcendent backing them. Apparently, the person is cultivating in a very powerful academy somewhere far away from here. An academy called the Heavenly Tyrant Academy."

A glint of admiration flashed through the eyes of the vice principal as she mentioned this Heavenly Tyrant Academy.

Kailen observed her with emotional resonance.

The representatives nodded at her words, not finding anything amiss with her words.

The airship followed the traffic stream, and whizzed across several buildings and regions of Oceanica City, eventually gliding across several forests and mountains. Finally, they arrived at the target region of the city.

The place looked very serene, regal and high class.

Several castles and beautiful mansions lined the place. There were also several trees and flowery decorations everywhere.

Compared to the bustly region of the city, this part of the city did not even have airships gliding through the skies.

It was as if there was an unspoken rule here that serenity was the order of the day here.

Anyone who arrived here immediately put their airships away and chose to either travel by floating through the air or walking.

"This is the Estate district of the city. This is where nobles of the capital and influential figures reside. All the big restaurants and hotels are also here. Anyone with enough influence and wealth can come here. The royal district where the royal palace is, is a few regions away from this place. As for the Meridian Oceanic Empire, it is north of the Royal District."

Everyone nodded to her words as they floated across several beautiful mansions, headed towards a particular location.

"It seems you are well informed about this place, Vice Principal. As expected of the most powerful assassin in the Venzula Empire," one of the professors commented.

"Hehe. I have a bit of history with the Meridian Oceanic Empire. I used to belong to a guild in the Oceanica City before I moved to the Venzula Empire."

Glints of realization flashed through the eyes of everyone.

Eventually, the group arrived before a very grandiose estate with several mansions strewn across its interior.

However before they entered, a person in a suit at the gates would tell them to take some sort of identification badge out, after which he would respectfully allow them entry through the gates.

"Those must be the professors and representatives from the other empire academies. This should be where the banquet will be happening this evening," one of the rankers said.

Kailen and the others shared the same thoughts.

They proceeded to the gates and went through the entry process.

"Welcome, Esteemed Guests. Please, proceed to villa 17. Everything has been prepared to make you comfortable. The banquet will start at 9pm this evening at the Central villa, located at the middle of the Hotel," the person in the suit said politely.

"Thank you," the vice principal replied politely, after which the group entered through the gates.

They passed several villas adorned with gardens and fountains and arrived at the 17th villa.

"We all heard the man. Everyone is free to pick a room of their choice to stay in, ladies and gentlemen. Let’s kindly meet here at 9pm and head to the banquet."

After her words, the entrance to the interior of the Villa swung open, after which the group entered it.
