Jennifer took it with surprise and couldn’t help but take a sip, showing an incredibly intoxicated expression.

Yaoen laughed heartily, "I couldn’t afford it. I helped the Ministry of Truth catch a traitor; the boss was in a good mood and treated me."

"You can catch a traitor?" Jennifer obviously seemed skeptical.

Yaoen, with animated gestures, pulled up a product information page from his work terminal.

It was a completely jade-green Yellow Springs Warrior Power Armor, adorned with red decorative stripes on the pristine armor plates.

Jennifer recognized the item.

This is a set of exclusive power armor for the Yellow Springs Warrior, said to be one of the two strongest light armors - the CM-21 Trench Medic, also nicknamed the ’Milk Armor’.

Probably because it can provide six enhanced medical needles.

The company that manufactures medical needles claimed that no addictive substances are ever added to the needles, reassuring many Yellow Springs Warriors to use them without worries.

Jennifer didn’t know for sure if it was true, but she knew this armor was incredibly expensive, costing a full 500 super currency points for the complete set.

If you look carefully, there is actually a tiny white line at the bottom.

In fact, it’s not a white line at all, but a line of tiny text that can’t be read without a high-magnification electronic microscope:

In other words, these are not real comments at all.

But neither Jennifer nor Yaoen noticed this line of text, continuing to discuss the matter of the Grand President’s election.

According to managed democracy voting methods, citizens don’t even need to know the Grand President’s name or who the candidates are.

All they have to do is fill out a questionnaire on their personal terminal, and the computer will automatically analyze their political inclination and cast the corresponding vote for a candidate.

Reportedly, this greatly enhances democracy and freedom.

At least, that’s what the citizens of the Superhuman Federation believe, and they see no problem with it.

As the man and woman discussed how the liberation campaign of democracy and freedom was in full swing, suddenly, a shadow obscured the originally blue sky.

Yaoen’s body shook.

He tried to stand up, to pull his beloved away from this hellish place.

But his legs wouldn’t obey, trembling uncontrollably.

Meanwhile, for some unknown reason, his pants had become damp, with an unsettling smell wafting up.

Get up, stand up!

He screamed hysterically in his heart.

But before he could regain his mobility, everything ended.

For the creature, humanoid in form, turned its head 180 degrees, its four pupil-less blood-red eyes fixing directly on Yaoen.

"Ah... delicious snacks!"

The creature uttered an inhuman language and a jarring shrill laughter, sending shivers down the spine.

With just a wave of its hand, the next moment, black ink speared forth like a long spear, piercing through the pair of lovebirds, simultaneously taking their lives.

"Satisfying, so satisfying!"

The creature continued its relentless slaughter of humans, feasting as if at a buffet.

Elsewhere, simultaneously, within the Superhuman Federation Government and Ministry of Truth buildings, similar scenes occurred at four locations.

Five monster-like beings, roughly seven to eight-tenths human-looking, raged in slaughter with no humans able to withstand even one blow from them.

It wasn’t until a large number of Superhuman Federation Armed Forces arrived continuously that the creatures laughed and "prudently retreated," vanishing without a trace.

At this moment, the most elite Yellow Springs Brave Squad of the Superhuman Federation had been wholly deployed to the western and eastern frontlines.

The capital of the homeland had no powerful force to guard it.

The Superhuman Federation had enjoyed inward peace for too long, was too confident in its own strength, and never anticipated a terror attack that had been absent for over two hundred years in the capital.

Even the once-police force, the Yellow Springs Warriors, had long been reformed into a kind of special forces.
